Let’s get started 🙂
– Glue gun
– Mod Podge
– Candle holders
– Candle jars
– Paint brush with sponge at the end
– Glitter (any color you wish)
* I got the candle holders and the jars from the dollar store, and the glue gun was from Wal-Mart
Put some mod podge on your paint brush. (By the way, use a sponge paint brush because if you use an actual paint brush, the bristles will shed and you do not want it to stick to the jar).
Spread the mod podge all over from the bottom to the top on the INSIDE!
The messy, but fun part! Pour the glitter in and cover the jar. As much as you want. You can never have too much glitter 🙂 It should look like this when you’re done. No worries, mod podge dries clear!
Next, take the glue gun and put glue around the candle holder. Do this fast since the glue dries fast! The good thing is you can peel it off once it is dried if you mess up. Put the jar on top and hold it there for about 10 seconds.
Wa-La! It should look like this when you’re done! I sprayed the inside with hair spray so the glitter won’t come off as much. I use these for my makeup brushes. You can put the marbles or smaller beads in the cup so your brushes stand. Sand works too.
If you wanted, you can put glitter on the bottom of the candle holders as well so it matches the jar.
